FIPRESCI, short for\u00a0F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de la Presse Cin\u00e9matographique,\u00a0\u00a0is an association of national organizations of professional film critics and film journalists from around the world for \u201cthe promotion and development of film culture and for the safeguarding of professional interests.\u201d It is present in more than 50 countries worldwide and at many of the world\u2019s leading film festivals.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><\/div>

    Les Films de Cannes a Bucarest, is an initiative launched in 2010 by Romanian Palme D’Or winner Cristian Mungiu which brings a selection of films and filmmakers from the current year’s Cannes competition to Bucharest.Each year the festival screens each of the Filminute films before a Cannes title and awards the Filminute Trophy. <\/p><\/div>

It was founded in 1967 by Beatrice Monti della Corte and the writer Gregor Von Rezzori and has hosted a long list of great writers including Michael Ondaatje, Bruce Chatwin, and Zadie Smith.\u00a0Since Filminute’s founding in 2006, Santa Maddalena has provided guidance and jurors underscoring the festival’s focus on story.\u00a0 <\/p><\/div>
