Filminute is the international one-minute film festival that challenges filmmakers, writers, animators, artists, designers, and creative producers to develop and submit the world\u2019s best one-minute films.

The Filminute Festival, including final jury selection and public voting, will take place from October 1st – 31st, 2026

WHAT MAKES A GREAT
ONE-MINUTE FILM?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The best one-minute films resonate beyond one minute and affect audiences the same way any great film does. The challenge, of course, is to do it all in 60 seconds \u2013 no more, no less. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A good film, short or long, should show me something about our (inner and outer) world which I didn’t know. As well, it should concern me, hit me emotionally \u2013 films work via emotions. Sometimes in a full-length film, you’ll get one scene in the film that resonates beyond the length of the full film.
